The Beverly Teachers Association is comprised of educators who are determined to develop the whole child. The educators in Beverly dedicate countless hours inside and outside the classroom.
The teachers and paraprofessionals have volunteered to hold an annual walk/run. The first year of the walk was 2012. Funds were raised to purchase gift certificates from Beverly businesses some of which included restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, salons (for Prom students), and Drugstores. The businesses either matched the gift certificates or donated one of their own. The gift certificates were presented to the School Committee who gave them to the Principals to distrubute to families who would most benefit from them.
This year the funds raised were donated to the families of Sandy Hook after the devastating loss of student and teacher lives. It is our hope that we were able to assist the families and the community in rebuilding their lives.
Every year, the Beverly Teachers Association makes a generous donation to Beverly Bootstraps. Beverly Bootstraps provides various forms of assistance to many of the students and their families from our schools. We are proud to be able to assist them in their endeavors!
